Damian born in the UK and is now proudly Singaporean, has 25+ years of Development, Engineering, Architecture, Transformation, Consultancy and Operations experience in C-Level global roles. In his spare time Damian helps his wife to scale Lush Platters https://www.lushplatters.com an F&B startup business in Singapore who recently kicked off a joint venture with the Select Group. Damian has led Expert Engineering for American Express, cards, travel and banking services, managed 200+ front to back services for Standard Chartered Bank, Retail, Wealth and Corporate and Institutional Banking. Having previously held the position of CTO for Silicon Valley SaaS provider Workday and now is the Global CIO for Seaco based in Singapore. Damian is a certified professional in AI Ethics and Governance. Having actively supported the startup scene in Singapore, Damian has been a judge, mentor and coach for the Slingshot festival. Damian also supports and advises startups in his eco system and has a special interest in those that are born from NTUitive as an EMBA Alumni of NTU. Thought leadership, critical thinking, and human centered design and now the use of ML / AI to solve industry challenges allow him to reflect a lot and share his view of the world. Having amassed over 15k followers on Linked In is seen as a positive advocate for change in the Technology space. Often speaking keynotes at industry events, customer roundtables, Damian is not shy to share his perspective with the world be it written, live broadcast or on an event stage. Damian’s currently focused on creating cultural change moving to Agile and building an innovative mindset and delivering AI and ML to automate, help solve Big Data challenges in the shipping, logistics and the container leasing industry. Damian has an EMBA from NTU having conducted his thesis on Voice Biometric Authentication, he is a lifelong learner and occasionally lectures NTU EMBA students as well as hosting them for industry immersion days at Seaco offices.
